Karma is…Taylor Swift’s ‘Midnights (The Til Dawn Edition)’!
The new release, which dropped overnight, features all the Swifty favorites, plus a “Vault” track, a “Snow on the Beach” re-record, a previous Target exclusive, and a “Karma” collab.
On May 24, Taylor teased the release on social posting “Um. SO much to tell you.”
In the post, Taylor went on to reveal an unexpected collab with Ice Spice. “I’m a massive fan of this brilliant artist and after getting to know her I can confirm: she is THE ONE to watch. So delighted to say that Karma Featuring the incredible @icespicee_ will be out TOMORROW night at MIDNIGHT ET as a part of the new Midnights (Til Dawn Edition) deluxe album.”
Ice Spice’s rapped verses seamlessly blend into the karmic track and contribute to the long list of satisfying Karma metaphors.
Taylor also heard her fans’ feedback on the first release of “Snow on the Beach” and invited Lana Del Rey back into the studio to re-record and add more vocals to the track.
The new edition also features “Hits Different,” a track previously only heard on the physical Midnights edition sold at Target.
Taylor, who is currently touring the US on her sold-out Eras Tour, will give her East Rutherford fans the first opportunity to purchase the special edition CD. “But wait there’s more… for those of you going to the East Rutherford shows – we will have a new special edition CD available ONLY on site starting at 12:30pm ET on Friday! This CD will have a never before heard Midnights vault track called “You’re Losing Me”!” she shared in that same post.
These collaborations and this release prove yet again that Taylor Swift is a “Mastermind.”
