Now, with over 150 thousand followers and a growing fanbase, Knox Cannon is on the cusp of releasing his debut album, a culmination of his love for music and his tireless dedication. In this exclusive interview, we delve into Knox’s musical odyssey, his inspirations, aspirations, and the transformative power of social media in shaping his journey from a bedroom performer to a rising star.
What inspired you to choose “Where’s My Mind” for your TikTok recording? Was there a
specific lyric that motivated you to transition to making music?
The reason I chose the song “Where Is My Mind” for a TikTok was because I love the
song and I knew the electric guitar part of the song was easy and I wanted my friend to
play it so we could make a cool video.
When did your interest in pursuing music as a career begin to develop?
My interest in pursuing music started to develop around the year 2021. I loved playing
guitar and just dug really deep into all kinds of music and started to get involved with
making it.
Balancing producing and writing for another artist with a similar sound, like Ingram, can
be complex. How do you prevent confusion between what should be your own song
versus a collaboration?
I think everyone brings their own sound and ideas to the table whenever it comes to
creating music, so for me to bring my own sound to the table I just make music that I am
proud of and want to share with the world.
Reflecting on the release of your debut single, “Find Another,” earlier this year, how did
it feel to share that with the world? Are you eager to continue releasing more music?
I was so excited to share my first song with the world and I am even more excited to
share more music and see what is to come in the future!
