After the smash hit 2017 movie, The Greatest Showman, Benji Pasek and Justin Paul are back with their musical genius, creating the music for the movie, Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile. The movie stars Shawn Mendes as Lyle the crocodile, who gets picked up from a magical pet store by struggling magician, Hector P. Valenti (Javier Bardem). The movie turns into a magical musical, one full of friendship, loyalty, and inspiration.
Shawn Mendes, being the lead, only sang as the crocodile but he was able to capture the emotions of the crocodile through songs such as the motivating, “Top Of The World.” Mendes also penned a song for the movie, “Carried Away.” The movie overall was moving and heartwarming, one that a crocodile will sure make you smile after a tough work week or just a good pick-me-up movie in general.
