LAUV was so good we had to cover him twice!
LAUV performed at The Wiltern in LA for three nights in a row, October 19-21, and he brought the crowd to each show! To note, all shows were sold out and he was playing LA on the same nights as Lizzo and a Taylor Swift show and Jonas Brothers, bravo LAUV.
LAUV brought his mental awareness to LA with his My Blue Thoughts Booth, a collaboration with Microsoft. The blue lit cubes housed computers where fans could go in and anonymously share their thoughts and view other’s making them aware that they aren’t alone. LAUV started this on his first tour with fans writing notes with no name and then LAUV would share them on his story. It became so popular at his shows that now LAUV has booths with videos now.
The warmth and support showed in his show, with pride colored lights and merchandise that said “Welcome To The Land of Friends.” The crowd could feel the love and support from LAUV from all of his songs. The setlist included songs such as “I’m So Tired,” “Sims,” “Superhero,” “f**k, I’m lonely” and he ended his show with his hit “I Like Me Better.”
LAUV’s set was one that connected fans with not only him but everyone in the crowd. With so many different walks of life in the venue, since it’s LA, that show made everyone feel connected and not alone. There’s a reason why LAUV is LAUV, it’s because every show he brings the LOVE to his set.
Overall the show was amazing, filled with support and love and awareness that you’re not alone in whatever you’re going through. If you ever need support, there are people who will always be there for you. That was a big theme of LAUV’s show, making it important to see him live.
