Life has been anything but ordinary for Evie Theodorou. Between starring in the mini-series Nancy Mindy and releasing music while keeping up with her supportive fan base, the ‘Always’ singer is definitely not always free. As she prepares to release her next single, Evie continues inspiring her supporters through social media and balancing her focus in multiple industries. Her accomplishments thus far make it clear that Evie Theodorou is definitely not a name you want to forget. In an exclusive interview with ECHO, the star opened up about her upcoming EP, dream collaborations and more.
What artists have influenced you thus far?
Wow there are so many! But to name a few would be Kacey Musgraves, Maren Morris, Madison Beer, Olivia O’Brien, Selena Gomez and Lady Gaga.
You have a new song coming out October 25th! Is there anything you can tease about it?
My song is called “Somewhere” with BRAT Records, its about me coming to LA to pursue my dreams. It’s a great song for anyone that might be looking to move forward in life and just knowing that you taking that step will get you closer to where you need to be.
How exciting was it to release your single “Always”? What has the response been like?
My song Always was released in the fall 2018. It had a great response to people from all over the world. I love getting messages from my fans telling me how much my song inspired them and how they want to hear more of my music. My voice has grown so much since then so I can’t wait for my fans to hear my new music.
What can you tell us about your EP coming out this fall?
My other songs on my EP are super fun. They all kind of have their own vibe. I like creating music that will fit all genres. I’m not sure when the rest will be released, but stay tuned to my social medias for more info on when.
Is there anyone you would like to tour with in the future?
I would love love to tour with Kacey Musgraves. She is so talented and seems like she is super fun. I know I could learn so much from her.
What’s one quote you’ve heard in life that you want to ECHO out to fans?
One of my favorites: Don’t you ever let a soul in the world tell you that you can’t be exactly who you are. -Lady Gaga7.
The decade is almost over. What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned from this past decade?
It would be hard to choose one lesson. I feel like I learn daily. But what I do think for me it has been taking that step without looking back. Life is full of lessons, its just how you approach each one that creates your story.
