EXCLUSIVE: Katie Belle Chats “The Best You’ll Ever Have”

Pop singer Katie Belle is returning to her “dark dance pop roots” on her new single “The Best You’ll Ever Have.”

The danceable pop anthem showcases Katie Belle’s ability to connect with listeners through heartfelt lyricism.

We chatted with Katie Belle to find out how she turned pain into wisdom, what fans can look forward to next, and more!

What inspired your new single?

I wrote this song fresh out of a long term relationship. It caused me a lot of pain but also a lot of peace. I just hope when people hear this song that they will feel powerful, confident and know their worth.

What was the writing and production process like?

It’s different every time but this one worked itself out pretty quickly. I remember how upset and emotional I was feeling that day, I wasn’t necessarily trying to write my next single as I was trying to write a song that helped me get some stuff off my chest. It worked out so beautifully in the end and it’s always a plus when you write a really great track off of a really real experience.

This song marks your return to your original “dark dance pop roots.” What inspired you to explore that sonic landscape again?

I just really missed that sound. It’s what I was originally drawn to when I first made the switch to pop from country. I love that dark sexy vibe collaborating with vivid songwriting and a melodic story. I don’t know if i’ll do it forever but it’s definitely my vibes right now.

Does releasing this single out into the world feel like freedom to you?

It does! It feels like a weight off my chest or almost like I told the world a secret. After this breakup I tried to remain very graceful and un phased but that isn’t really how i was feeling…. at all. This song really did give me the opportunity to get it off my chest, be a little petty, and be able to move on.

If you could set fans up in the perfect environment to listen to the single, what do you imagine it looking like?

A soft lit room with candles and mood lighting, some wine and lots of fluffy pillows. Almost like a bedroom setting. That’s where I am most of the time when my imagination and creativity comes to me. I’d love to create a safe space like that for my listeners.

What can fans look forward to next?

Lots of live shows!!! My biggest goal this year is really getting back out there with my live performance so i can meet more of you guys face to face. I’m tired of being on my phone. I want to be sharing my music out in the world and with real people. Hopefully, I’ll be coming to a city near you sometime very soon.

What is one quote that you have heard or that you want to echo out to the world?

“If you’re going through hell, keep going”

Winston Churchill
