CONCERT REVIEW: AJ Mitchell Puts on High Energy Show at The Gramercy in NYC

With intense gratitude and humble confidence, AJ Mitchell took the stage at Gramercy Theater in New York, New York, for the Hopeful Tour to perform for some of his biggest fans.


Attendees lined up outside the venue hours prior to the show in order to secure the perfect spot to see the ‘Afterhours’ singer perform live. Following the opening acts Brynn Elliot and Marteen, Mitchell began his set and instantly fed off of the audience’s energy. He made sure to work every square inch of the stage and gave fans all over the venue an equal amount of attention while still focusing on the preciseness of his vocals.

Fans sang every lyric at the top of their lungs and attempted to capture the singer’s attention in between each song. It was clear that Mitchell was enjoying every second of his performance and truly giving his all. He even jumped off the stage to high-five people right in front of the barricade without warning due to his excitement. The fan to artist connection between AJ Mitchell and his fans screams one word: loyal.

Mitchell’s set included his most popular songs such as “Used To Be” and “All My Friends.” It allowed fans to hear almost all of their favorites and more. The “I Don’t Want You Back” singer continuously connected with the crowd and showed off his impressive vocals. He smoothly transitioned from song to song while still managing to take time to speak to the audience in front of him. For a young performer, Mitchell knows exactly how to entertain and gives those in attendance a performance they will remember.

The Hopeful Tour provides fans with an energetic and positive experience. It has an ideal balance of genres between the opening acts and headliner. Mitchell’s determination to make this tour the greatest it could be inevitably shined and was recognized by his audience in New York. This is one performance that fans of Brynn Elliot, Marteen and AJ Mitchell do not want to miss. After the show, it will leave you desperately wanting more music from every artist that performed on stage.
