What a nice surprise. One of the pop icons of the millennial generation, Carly Rae Jepsen released a surprise album the other day, Dedicated Side B, and it’s full of 80’s vibes.
The album is a companion piece to her 2019 album, Dedicated. It features some of the hundreds songs that didn’t make the LP’s final cut.
The new album clocks in at 12 sings and features writing credits from Jack Antonoff and more. Antonoff’s band Bleachers is credited on a song called “Comeback.” Other songs worth listening to are “This Love Isn’t Crazy,” “Solo,” “Window” and “Stay Away.”
This isn’t the first time Jepsen has released a Side B to an album. A year after debuting 2015’s Emotion, she released the nine song EP Emotion: Side B. The songwriter is known for writing hundreds of songs during the recording process of each album, and the Side B projects offer up a taste of the tunes left on the cutting room floor.
