On June 9, iann dior shared a new mantra with his audience in “Live Fast Die Numb”. Most known for his hit song “Mood” with 24KGoldn, dior continues to impress with this energetic single and its corresponding music video. “Live Fast Die Numb” follows dior’s 2022 album on to better things.
“Live Fast Die Numb” effortlessly incorporates dior’s rap style with an alt-pop and pop punk fusion. The upbeat guitar riff and driving drum beat give the song an animated feel, while the sustained melodic notes and additional synth sounds provide each chorus with a fast-paced, energetic force. Coupled with vulnerable lyricism like “sharp teeth, sharp tongue, is the only way you’re treating me”, dior’s single becomes an anthemic track perfect to scream out during a highway drive.
In the corresponding music video, dior is seen “reflecting on a younger version of himself.” Dior provides a peek at his young life, alternating between clips of a younger version of him and his present-day self as he sings the track in a matching yellow outfit. In the final chorus, the young dior stands in the crowd at dior’s show, proudly dancing along in a full circle moment.
Dior has recently been announced as the face of MCM’s 2022 spring and summer campaign. He is currently supporting Machine Gun Kelly on his “Mainstream Sellout Tour” in North America and Europe from June through October.
