Rachel Chinouriri Gives Boston All They’ve Ever Asked For

Fresh off her run as the supporting act on Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet UK and Europe arena tour, Rachel Chinouriri has officially launched her debut headlining “All I Ever Asked For Was A North American Tour.”

After making stops in Washington, D.C., New York, and Canada, Rachel arrived in Boston for the very first time, bringing with her a night brimming with joy, connection, and an overwhelming sense of love.

The evening at The Sinclair opened with a performance by Maryland native Bizzy, followed by Alemeda, who also made her Boston debut. For thirty minutes, the crowd was treated to an eight-song set that featured four unreleased tracks with “four we know and love.”

With vocals as effortless as her hair flips, Alemeda delivered standout performances of songs like “Gonna Bleach My Eyebrows” and “Guy’s Girl.” The latter, she explained, is about the painful realization that people you once thought were lifelong friends may not share the same commitment to forever.

Alemeda’s candor threaded through every moment of her set, from her lyrics to the intimate stories she shared between songs. Some were deeply vulnerable. She opened up about the inspiration behind “I’m Over It,” describing it as a song about “a person who I loved dearly, who was struggling with drug addiction, and my journey of just trying to be there for them and help them. Ultimately, I had to let them go because you know, you know.”

To close her set, Alemeda offered a playful warning: the final song was “not therapist approved.” With a smile, she launched into “I Already Dug Your Grave,” explaining, it’s about “when I want to move on so I just pretend they die. I have shit to do. I can’t wait around and heal,” she sarcastically added.

After Alemeda set the tone with her soul-baring, genre-bending set, Rachel Chinouriri was poised to carry the energy forward.

The UK songstress strutted onto the stage in a shimmering halter top, offering an early glimpse of both her radiant personality and the electrifying performance to come.

“I’ve heard such amazing things about Boston,” Rachel told the crowd. Judging by the explosive cheers that followed, the audience was more than ready to live up to the hype.

She delivered a high-energy, unforgettable set that had fans singing and dancing along to tracks like “Dumb Bitch Juice” and “Can We Talk About Issac?”

Much like Alemeda, Rachel didn’t shy away from vulnerability. “I wrote a lot of songs maybe three and a half years ago,” she shared. “I healed a lot from them.”

Before singing “My Blood,” she shared, “I used to go through a phase where I’d pull out my own hair and harm myself. I didn’t really understand the feeling, so I wanted to figure out what that was and why I treated myself in that way.”

She added, “if anyone in here has ever felt unloved, just keep pushing because life is so precious.”

Rachel credits her fans with giving her the courage to be authentic. “ I want to thank you all for making this such a safe space for me to be able to express myself,” she said.

But it wasn’t just the words, it was her presence. Through intentional eye contact, taking fans’ phones to film her point of view, and pausing for moments of connection, Rachel created an atmosphere that felt deeply personal.  “I want you to feel inspired and feel capable of doing whatever you want no matter how,” she told the crowd.

Before closing with the empowering “Never Need Me,” she performed “All I Ever Asked,” the viral hit that launched her career and now gives this tour its name.

“Just a little more time, was it really that hard to do? / It was all I ever asked of you,” she sang, and the Boston audience echoed every word back.
