American Idol is back on air for its 22nd season. As sad as we are to see Katy Perry leave after this season, the talent we have seen makes this season seem promising! One of those talented contestants is a former NFL player, Blake Proehl. Proehl was a wide receiver for the Minnesota Vikings but had to pull out due to an injury. Proehl used music as his beacon for recovering and getting into a mentally stable spot. His audition was wholesome as he sang by his grandmom’s side, who inspired him to get into music and pursue a career in the arts.
