With warm weather just around the corner, Hayley Kiyoko delivered the perfect summer anthem, “For The Girls”, on May 20.

The single precedes her sophomore album Panorama, and is a celebration of confidence and femininity. The strong bassline and groovy beat blend with catchy lyricism to create an upbeat track easy to sing along to.

To complement the song, Kiyoko released a self-directed music video. The video is a testament to diversity and authenticity in the LGBTQ+ community, providing queer representation in a parody of the Bachelor franchise.

“It was a reminder of how resilient this community is and how strong and confident we feel being our authentic selves together,” Kiyoko explains. “No matter how you identify or who you love, I hope this summer bop makes you feel sexy and empowered.”

Kiyoko’s sophomore album, Panorama, will be available on July 29. In the meantime, fans can purchase tickets to see Kiyoko as a special guest on Lauv’s “All 4 Nothing Tour” this summer
