Atlantic Records pop/R&B artist Christian Lalama has shared his most emotionally charged single to date. After teasing the new song with a viral performance on TikTok that has earned over 2M views.
Christian developed his chops behind the piano and on the microphone as a kid in the small town of St. Catharines, Ontario. He went from show-stopping impromptu performances at local restaurants to launching a mega-successful YouTube channel, earning a rabid fan base through covers of everyone from Post Malone and Justin Bieber to Eminem and Maroon 5, in addition to performing at packed gigs on both sides of the border. In 2018, he made his official Atlantic Records debut with his first original single, “Tic Toc,” accompanied by an official music video now boasting almost 2.5M views via YouTube. A string of increasingly acclaimed singles followed, including “Gotta Be You,” “Knocked Me Off My Feet,” “FrFr” and “Miss Me,” now approaching 1.5M views at YouTube following its exclusive premiere via Billboard.
We chatted with Christian Lalama about his new single “Nobody Ain’t You” and much more below!
What inspired your new single “Nobody Ain’t You?”
When I first heard the demo it was really stripped down and raw and caught my attention instantly. Telling a story through lyrics is really important to me and Nobody Ain’t You did just that. After many trials and errors with changing the vibe of the song we finally found the perfect sound.
Who is someone that has that quality of “Nobody Ain’t You” in your life?
There’s definitely someone who’s above the rest when it comes to a lifelong crush but I don’t think think i’ll be saying any names lol. I feel like we all have that person where we know deep down we want them more than anything and anyone.
If you could set fans up in the perfect environment to listen to the single, what do you imagine it looking like?
Honestly as basic as it sounds, in a comfy safe place such as their bed or in their car late at night with earbuds in or loud with full surround sound. The story fits a sort of vibey chill mood and I hope they get all the ‘feels’
What is one quote that you have heard or that you go by that you want to ECHO out to the world?
One that stands out for me is one that I have tattooed on my
Body…stating that in Life, nothing is easy AND nothing is impossible.
What can fans look forward to next?
An amazing summer song that I am beyond pumped release. I have a really, really good feeling about this and can just picture the reactions now….
