EXCLUSIVE: Chloe Tang Talks “Hoes Have Feelings Too”

Rising artist Chloe Tang is continuing to redefine pop music with her new single, “Hoes Have Feelings Too.”

The empowering anthem pulls from her “real emotions and experiences” as a sensitive person navigating the toxic double standards of dating culture.

We chatted with Chloe about the single, upcoming “sad bangers” and more!

What inspired your new single “Hoes Have Feelings Too”?

“Hoes Have Feelings Too” is a delicious mixture of empowerment, satire, seduction, and emotion. There are a lot of different angles to the lyrics but my intention was just to write a song that did the title justice. I want everyone to listen to this song and have their own interpretation of its meaning but most of all, I hope it breaks some stigmas. This is truly such an artist piece that I’ve been sitting on for years and I’m so excited it’s finally coming out.

What was the writing process like?

There’s actually a funny story about this song came about. I presented the song concept to my cowriters, Sammy and Harry as a joke and then they suggested we actually try to turn it into a real song. I had the idea for a while but never thought it would turn into a song I released, so their encouragement really gave this song life.

What do you hope people take away from the song?

I hope people see it as a deeper look into the mind of a strong woman. I want other women to hear it and tap into the parts of themselves that they might usually be reluctant to and I want others to feel like they OWN their bodies and don’t have to hide anything just because someone people might judge. Overall, I just want people to know its normal to be in your feelings no matter who you are.

If you could set fans up in the perfect environment to listen to the single, what do you imagine it looking like?

Oh I love this question. Here it is- a strip club but it’s a giant girl’s night. Everyone has sleeping bags and the lights are dimmed and we’re just hanging out and talking. No phones allowed- just vibes. Maybe there’s also a tattoo artist, a tooth gem girl, and definitely a lot of snacks.

What can fans look forward to next?

I’m gonna be in my sad girl era for a little longer. I have some sad bangers I wanna put out still. I think the next few songs will be a lot higher energy than the past few, just because I wanna show my versatility and I think it’s about time for some danceable bops.

What is one quote that you have heard or that you go by that you want to ECHO out to the world?

Don’t take anything personal!!! This mantra has literally changed my life. I really stopped caring what anyone else thought and I live a much more peaceful life. Very grateful for that.
