Venezuela native, Barbara Teresa recently released her single “saturday night.”
Teresa’s airy, soft vocals artfully thread post-break-up inspired lyrics to create a unique contemporary track of revealing heartache. “ I wrote it about a guy who clearly got over me before I got over him, and the frustration of being the one who ‘had it worse’ post breakup. We told each other we’d stay friends, but it didn’t work out, and that’s what inspired me to write this song,’ explained Teresa.
Teresa’s music incorporates an eclectic range of genres and relatable details of self-love, friendships, and tough times.
“saturday night” is Teresa’s second single and will be featured on her upcoming February 2021 EP ‘texts i never sent.’
Teresa plans to continue to record in both Venezuela and Los Angeles, before heading to Duke University next fall.
