Aidan Bissett is a supernova musician on his first debut tour. Since the last time we saw Bissett back in LA, his vocal control and stage presence as only bloomed since. We’ve been with Bissett since he signed at Capitol Records, where we had the chance to do a sit-down interview and photoshoot at Capitol Records HQ with the Tripping Over Air singer.
Bissett graced the stage at Paradise Rock Club in Boston, MA, belting out a mix of new and throwback tunes, from “Different” (2020) to “Ultraviolet” (2023). In what marked his inaugural headlining tour, known as the Supernova Tour, Aidan demonstrated an impressive ability to balance professionalism with fun – a skill that often eludes newer artists. The show kicked off with the captivating notes of “All The I’m Craving,” and what struck me was the inclusion of a live band, a refreshing sight for an emerging artist.
The entire performance exuded the vibe of a group of talented kids jamming out in their garage, or in respects to Boston, their dorm – vibrant, authentic, and brimming with energy. The setlist transitioned seamlessly from soulful guitar solos to entertaining TikTok moments, ensuring there was never a dull second throughout the show. Boston specifically felt like a great city to catch Bissett perform in with the music resonating solely with a lot of college students.
Aidan’s connection with the audience soared when he ventured into the crowd, a memorable moment that set the stage for a post-show meet and greet. His authenticity and pure talent alone will see him grow to eventually become a performer of a generation. Also, side note, his fashion as grown tremendously as well, shout out to his stylist, Edwin Ortega.
