Starting off 2019 strong with their lineup, Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival released their entire line up for this years festival which includes Childish Gambino, Tame Impala and Ariana Grande as the headliners. Other artists such as Solange, Kid Cudi, Aphex Twin, Janelle Monáe, the 1975, Pusha-T, Blood Orange, Diplo, Weezer, Kacey Musgraves, Rosalía, Yves Tumor, SOPHIE, Mac DeMarco, Idris Elba, Jon Hopkins, Kaytranda, Anderson .Paak, Juice WRLD, Playboi Carti, Wallows, BLACKPINK, Alice Merton, Bazzi, Maggie Rogers, Khalid, Zedd and more are also performing at this years Coachella.
Coachella is the kickoff of the massive spring and summer multi-day festival season that has become a multimillion dollar industry in the United States. In 2017, Coachella grossed more than $114 million, according to Billboard Boxscore, the concert industry arm of Billboard, marking the first time a recurring festival crossed the $100 million threshold. The twin weekends are followed by sister event the Stagecoach Country Music Festival April 26-28.
General admission passes are going for $429 for the weekend (increasing to $509 with the inclusion of a shuttle pass). A VIP pass is $999 and preferred parking (formerly known as VIP parking) is $150.
One of the new things on tap for 2019 is a preferred camping option, which costs more but gets festival-goers in the lot closest to the Coachella entrance without having to line up ridiculously early. Regular car camping is $125 and a preferred camping pass is $325. Tent camping was $125 and a camping companion parking pass is $60.
