Starring and executive produced by Tom Holland, “The Crowded Room” is a gripping, 10-episode limited series that stars Holland as Danny Sullivan, a man who is arrested following his involvement in a shooting in New York City in 1979. A captivating thriller told through a series of interviews with curious interrogator Rya Goodwin (Amanda Seyfried), Danny’s life story unfolds, revealing elements of the mysterious past that shaped him, and the twists and turns that will lead him to a life-altering revelation. Hailing from Academy Award winner Akiva Goldsman, “The Crowded Room” is a coproduction between Apple Studios and New Regency.
In the first two episodes, we immediately are immersed in the drama of the show. The dark tones mixed in with a love story make it a roller coaster of a show to watch. Holland’s character, Danny, is at the center of all the heavy drama, playing the possible suspect who doesn’t know better. The show is also Holland’s first producing a series. One critic is, the suspense and the mystery of the whole show is subtly given away in the first two episodes. The super-hero actor has mentioned how his method acting got the best of him and he’s taking a break from acting for a year, which is why this show is getting so much buzz. It’s an interesting watch to say the least though, the acting from each of the characters is on point, the storyline does fall through making you feel a little lost, even in a crowded room.
