Molly Grace’s Sold Out Show and First Sips of a Baja Blast in Amherst

Just one month after selling out The Sinclair in Boston, Molly Grace returned to Massachusetts to play an also-sold-out show at The Drake in Amherst. Many fans arrived at the show just after Grace held a lecture/Q&A at Mount Holyoke College for the school’s student-organized Body Acceptance Alliance. The venue atmosphere was quickly buzzing as fans burst through the doors, eager to experience Grace’s enticing, magnetic, and magical world.

Grace’s popularity skyrocketed after her single “F.E.M.M.E” (Fabulous, Enticing, Magnetic, Magical, Everything) went viral on TikTok. She kept the momentum going with a string of equally magnetic singles and announcements during her “But I’m a Popstar Tour.” Through her music, unapologetically silly personality and undeniable talent, she has established herself as one to watch in the pop world, especially in queer spaces. She first began turning heads as a standout in her Lexington High School choir, where it was already clear she was destined for big things. Now, she’s not just met those expectations, she’s surpassed them, with support from her hometown community, many of whom showed up in full force at her shows in Boston and Amherst.

Grace performed plenty of fan favorites throughout the evening including her newest single “Do Me,” releasing April 18th, which she calls her favorite song she’s ever written. She also graced the crowd with upbeat songs like “Woman’s Intuition,” “Little Bit of Hell,” and “Lady Lady,” before balancing the mix with some slower ballads, including “My Mind Ain’t Always on My Side.”

In the middle of her set, Grace told the audience that she had never tried a Baja Blast from Taco Bell. However, fans who had chatted with her earlier at Mount Holyoke College weren’t about to let that stand, so they ordered one to the venue, just in time for her to try it on stage. After taking a big sip, she declared it “delicious,” and the crowd erupted in cheers.

Before closing the night, The singer-songwriter took a moment to express her gratitude, telling the audience, “I’m so excited to be here, we’ve been looking forward to this show all of tour, thank you for being here and selling this sh*t out!”

Per usual, Grace closed out her set with “F.E.M.M.E.” Grace has proved her ultimate talent is her ability to keep an audience’s attention glued to her throughout an entire live performance, and “F.E.M.M.E,” with its high energy and bold attitude, was the undeniable peak of the night for both Grace and her fans. After her set came to a close, she kept to tradition and headed straight to the merch booth to interact with fans. Grace has garnered a doting audience who are just as F.E.M.M.E as she, and they cannot wait to see her next moves.
