Thundercat, formally Steven Bruner, played to a sold-out crowd at Brooklyn Mirage in Brooklyn, NY on Tuesday, October 17, a stop on the In Yo Girl’s City Tour. The audience was filled with fans, close friends, and collaborators of the musician.
Throughout the show, Thundercat shared short stories about the background to a handful of the songs he performed. Before performing his song titled “Tokyo,” about his experience on his first trip to Japan, he strongly urged the audience to travel back to Japan with him by noting, “We are all adults, you all are 21+ promise me you are all going to go.”
