5 years ago you could find Jordy dancing along at the latest Brighton Music Hall show.
On May 13, he was back at the Boston venue, but instead he was performing for the sold-out audience.
As a co-opener for Lauren Sanderson, it was his responsibility to help energize the crowd. This task was not one that he took lightly. Illuminated by bright lights, Jordy’s infectious positivity and energy radiated from the stage as he jumped and twirled around.
Beginning with “things I never said,” Jordy sang songs about everything from crushes to “dry spells.” He also threw in a cover of Avril Lavigne’s “Complicated.” “Boston, if you don’t know this, we’re not friends,” he teased.
His conversational cadence with the crowd continued throughout the whole set. Jordy was all about interacting with the audience. He held their hands, graciously accepted offerings of Truly, and even got the entire crowd to sing “Happy Birthday” to a fan named Bobby.
Jordy ended his memorable set with “Till It Hurts” to cheers proving that Boston “love[s] [Jordy] harder than anyone that you’ve ever known.”
