In just a couple of years, Tones and I has skyrocketed from Byron Bay busker to global superstar.

That journey, which first began with her breakout hit “Dance Monkey,” is documented on her newly released debut album, ‘Welcome to the Madhouse.’

Her latest uplifting single “Cloudy Day,” continues to set the tone for the rest of the 14-track project pulling inspiration from personal loss and a friend’s late Mother’s mantra, ‘on a cloudy day, look up into the sky and find the sun.’

“This album for me is very up and down and reflects the forever changing emotions in me,” Tones shared, “There are songs on the album that were written before ‘Dance Monkey,’ about not knowing if busking was right for me. There are songs about my good friend T passing away and not wanting to deal with those emotions. The ups and downs of life in lock down and the mental challenges / struggles. Some songs make me laugh and some make me cry but there is no running theme or vibe to the album – the songs are unique to how I was feeling the day I wrote them.”

That uniqueness in lyricism and sound is elevated by Tones’s distinct raspy vocals. All these elements combined create radio worthy hits with a message.

Tone and I will be performing this new project on her 2022 North American headline tour beginning March 2. Tickets can be found here.
