New York based duo, Daisy the Great, has returned with a new single “Easy,” to jump-start the summer. A video co-directed by the band was released to accompany the gentle breakup song.

The bouncy track sees a set of delicate vocals playing off plush instrumentals that drive the upbeat rhythm. The airy guitar is fleshed out by the fuzzy bass track contributing to the ethereal richness of the song. While it’s fairly musically simplistic, the track is fun, catchy and easy to get stuck in anyone’s head.

The duo catches and gathers the complicated feelings of going through a breakup to arrange in a bouquet of soft melodies and bittersweet lyrical sentiments. The line “I was in love, I was in love, it wasn’t love and now it’s over, and now it’s easy” rings throughout each chorus, glimmering with self-reflection.

The video captures lighthearted choreography performed by members of the band and is set in warm, fuzzy lighting to match the feel of the song beautifully.

The duo made their debut in 2017 with the smash hit “The Record Player Song” that now has over twenty million streams worldwide. Now the band is set to head out on a North America tour hitting a few major festivals. Dates and tickets can be found here
