“When you wipe your tears, do you wipe them just for me?”
That question has become part of the soundtrack for Tik Tok scrolling after being used in 2.2 million videos over the past year.
Now Pink Pantheress, the voice behind that memorable tune, has dropped her debut mixtape “To hell with it” via Elektra Records/Parlophone Records.
The ten-track project has been a year in the making for the 20-year-old singer, songwriter, and producer from Bath.
“I’m super excited to share this project with you all as my first body of work. I’ve been collecting songs that I’ve made this year and while I’m still developing my sound, I’m hoping these songs immerse you into your ideal fantasy world as you listen,” Pink Pantheress says.
Amidst the “fantasy” that the UK artist has created are tracks including “I must apologise,” and fan-favorites “Pain,” “Passion,” “Break It Off.” Her viral hit, “Just for me,” produced by Mura Masa, specifically journeys into an “unhealthy obsession and is almost a part two to [my single] ‘Pain,’” she explained.
This project proves that she isn’t merely a viral success, but she is here to stay.
