ECHO is honored to premiere QUIETLOVE’s brand new single “Not Ready To Go.”

Whether it’s lust or heartbreak, QUIETLOVE has experienced and processed it through music. The results are self-produced, indie-pop melodies with lyrics that resonate.

His latest single, “Not Ready To Go” captures the all too relatable tug-o-war between a relationship’s inevitable demise and the desire to cling to the memories of when all was good.

Check out what the Toronto based artist had to say about the single’s inspiration, the production process, and what fans can look forward to next!

What inspired your new single “Not Ready to Go”?

The relationship that you know inevitably has to end, yet you helplessly cling to the last bits and pieces of what’s left. This sentiment is all too familiar to so many (including me), so I couldn’t help but put my own personal touch on it.

What was the writing and production process like?

I co-wrote the song with an old friend of mine, BRDGS, and we actually wrote the bulk of the song in just a few hours at his studio. I produced the song myself from the demo we made. Was listening to a lot of Jon Bellion at the time, and wanted a huge orchestral bed of strings. Just felt right. The rest was history.

If you could set fans up in the perfect place to listen to the new single, what do you imagine it looking like?

Definitely on a beach somewhere. You manage to overhear it in the distance on a bluetooth speaker by the bar. Pull out your phone and Shazam it. A moment you won’t soon forget 😉

What can fans look forward to next?

With every song, I seem to discover more about myself, and with that, my fans/listeners discover more about who I am in the process. I’m really enjoying the journey and there’s so much to come.

What is one quote that you have heard or that you go by that you want to ECHO out to the world?

Fear is temporary, regret is forever” is a quote that echoes in my brain a lot recently. We’re only here for a finite amount of time, and if there’s something you want to do, do it. Prove it to yourself. Life is much too short to let fear win.
