Sam Smith and Demi Lovato are “ready” for real love.
In their new dynamic and sultry single, “I’m Ready,” the pop vocal powerhouses come together to take charge of falling in love with a special someone. “I’m ready for someone to love me,” they state in the bass-y chorus.
The music video for the new flare love song shows the duo conquering a number of Olympic events, including wrestling, diving, synchronized swimming and more. The two meet up in an emotive medal ceremony, as a gospel hour belts the chorus once more.
“I’m Ready” is the first single off Smith’s third studio album, due out later 2020. Originally slated for a May 1 release, Smith decided to postpone the release with everything going on due to COVID-19. “I have done a lot of thinking the last few weeks and feel that the title of my album and imminent release doesn’t feel right,” Smith wrote in a statement, “so I have come to the decision to continue working on the album and make some important changes and additions.”
