Cali Rodi Throws It Back To the 90s with “blink-182 + u”

Los Angeles-based artist, Cali Rodi has released her new single “blink-182 + u”.

Created by an all-star team, including producer Aaron Z and vocal producer Emily Wright, the track was inspired by a night conversation with one of Rodi’s songwriting partners, Emily Haber. “We were talking about how we missed being kids in the basement blasting blink-182 songs,” Cali explains. “It felt like the end of an era because (lead singer) Tom DeLonge had just left the band.” Rodi was also going through a breakup at the time, and realized she was losing both her first crush (Tom DeLonge) and boyfriend in the same week. Inspired by the contents of the conversation, Cali and Emily crafted the nostalgic song.

In 2017, Cali released her first single, “Party Favor,” which rotated on Radio Disney and featured on top Spotify and Apple Music playlists.

Following 3 years of writing, recording, and self discovery, Cali came out swinging once again with “God Save The Queen”, a female empowerment anthem, which garnered over 100k streams in the first month.

Now we have “blink-182 + u.”
