Lily Allen Plays to Sold-Out Crowd in Boston

In 2006, Lily Allen debuted with her album, Alright, Still; which featured hits like “LDN” and “Smile.” After 11 years and another 3 albums, Allen is back on tour with her latest album, No Shame.

On October 24, Allen played to a full house at Paradise Rock Club in Boston, MA. Allen entertained fans with a twenty song set including favorites such as “It’s Not Fair” and “The Fear,” as well as new releases such as “Party Line.” She also shared a cover of Lykke Li’s  song, “Deep End” that she originally produced for the Australian Radio Station Triple J’s Like A Version series.

Mid show Lily performed a new song, “Three,” dedicating it to her brother Alfie and Game of Thrones star, who had just welcomed a daughter. This was a departure from her usual dedications to her own young daughters.

The packed house was notably entertained by Allen’s music, as well as her wit colorfully threaded throughout the show. This humor was fully apparent as she finished her seventeenth song, “It’s Not Fair,” telling the crowd that they were all gullible if they they thought the show was over! After a brief pause, Allen returned to the stage with two songs off of the new album.

She finished the show with, her 2009 anthem “Fuck You;” highlighting to the crowd the song’s relevance in this political climate.

Allen’s No Shame tour runs through February and is one to add to your list.
