Today, GRAMMY® Award-winning recording artist, Academy® Award-winning actress, and best-selling author Jennifer Hudson officially releases her cover of the classic “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” produced by will.i.am.
Her impassioned rendition of the 1967 staple made famous by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell originally appeared in her new Mastercard commercial. As part of the payment technology company’s “Striver’s Initiative,” the ad features a show-stopping performance by Hudson which serves as the soundtrack to a visual journey featuring Black women-owned businesses from across the country who have faced adversity and challenge and continue to thrive.
“I am fortunate to have been influenced and inspired by so many incredible black female role models as I’ve pursued my dreams, but that’s not always the case for all black girls and women,” Jennifer Hudson said in a statement at the time.
